Dana Healey Bio
Patriot, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist – this Bakersfield native, knew from a young age that she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. After a modest childhood, the south high graduate joined the US army, specializing in logistics. Following a tour in Iraq, Dana continued her military service in a private capacity earning honors such as, “the first female ever to be employed by Blackwater Aviation.” For 10 years, she continued to advance her life and the lives of others in Iraq and Afghanistan until she was injured with a broken back and arm; a devastating blow to her ambitions. Though by age 31, she had seen and done far more than many successful folks can imagine in a life-time.
During her recovery at home in the states, Dana embraced the healing power of yoga, not just for the body, but also for the mind. It was then that she re-discovered her path, as she developed a business plan focused on helping people, especially veterans, with PTSD & physical disabilities. And Warrior 1 Yoga, was conceived.
